Steps to apply for an Art Scholarship
1) | Complete and submit the CSB+SJU Art Scholarship Form below. | 2) | Include a link to 10-15 images that you will present and discuss during your interview. You may submit the images in a platform of your choosing as long as they are readily viewable (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides, Dropbox). Contact our Art Department liaison, Brady Labine, at blabine001@csbsju.edu if you need assistance submitting your portfolio. | 3) | Upon submission of the application, we will schedule your interview via email. The interview will be one-on-one with a member of our art faculty and can be completed on campus or via Zoom. The interview will take approximately one hour. |
Timeline - Students are encouraged to submit the application by the January 15 priority consideration date. We will consider applications that arrive after January 15 on a case-by-case basis.
- Scholarship decisions are emailed two weeks post interview to candidates who have also been admitted to the colleges.
Compliance Requirements
Scholarship recipients must comply with the following requirements to maintain the Art Scholarship. Students do not need to major or minor in art to receive an Art Scholarship. - Recipients with Art Scholarships up to $2,000: Students are required to take one 4-credit CSB and SJU art course each academic year. Two 2-credit courses may count but are not regularly offered.
- Recipients with Art Scholarships above $2,000: Students are required to take one 4-credit CSB and SJU art course each semester. Two 2-credit courses may count but are not regularly offered.
Note
- Current CSB and SJU students are not eligible to apply for Fine Arts Scholarships.
- Students may apply for more than one Fine Arts Scholarship; however, if awarded more than one, they may accept only one of them.
