Theater Scholarship Application

*The deadline to submit an art, music or theater scholarship application for Fall 2025 has passed.

Steps to Apply for a Theater Scholarship 

1. Complete and submit the CSB and SJU Theater Scholarship Form below.
2. Have a theater teacher complete the Fine Arts Recommendation Form.
3. Upon submission of the application, we will schedule your interview via email. The interview will be one-on-one with a member of our theater faculty and can be completed on campus or via Zoom. The interview will take approximately one hour and does not involve an acting audition. Be prepared to speak about your application, including your past experiences and future ambitions. Time Line

• Students are encouraged to submit the application by the January 15 priority consideration date. We will consider applications that arrive after January 15 on a case-by-case basis.  
• Scholarship decisions are emailed two weeks post interview to candidates who have also been admitted to the colleges. 

Compliance Requirements

Scholarship recipients must comply with the following requirements to maintain the Theater Scholarship. Students do not need to minor in theater to receive a Theater Scholarship. 

• Recipients with Theater Scholarships up to $1,000: Students are required to take one 2-or-more-credit theater course each year or participate each year in productions offered by the CSB and SJU Theater Department. 
• Recipients with Theater Scholarships $1,500-$6,000: Students are required to take one 2-or-more-credit theater course each semester or participate each semester in productions offered by the CSB and SJU Theater Department. 

Notes

• Current CSB and SJU students are not eligible to apply for Fine Arts Scholarships. 
• Students may apply for more than one Fine Arts Scholarship; however, if awarded more than one, they may accept only one of them. 
• There is no acting audition for the Theater Scholarship
