Theater + Dance Scholarship Application

The priority consideration date for this application is January 15, 2026

Steps to Apply for a Theater + Dance Scholarship 

1. Complete and submit the CSB and SJU Theater + Dance Scholarship Form below.
2. Have a theater or dance teacher complete the Fine Arts Recommendation Form.
3. Upon submission of the application, we will schedule your interview via email. The interview will be one-on-one with a member of our theater or dance faculty and can be completed on campus or via Zoom. The interview will take approximately one hour and does not involve an acting audition. Be prepared to speak about your application, including your past experiences and future ambitions. Time Line

• Students are encouraged to submit the application by the January 15 priority consideration date. We will consider applications that arrive after January 15 on a case-by-case basis.  
• Scholarship decisions are emailed two weeks post interview to candidates who have also been admitted to the colleges. 

Compliance Requirements

Scholarship recipients must comply with the following requirements to maintain the Theater + Dance Scholarship. Students do not need to minor in theater to receive a Theater + Dance Scholarship. 

• Recipients with Theater + Dance Scholarships must either enroll in THDN courses or take part in department productions each semester, including opportunities to take leadership roles with our Theater + Dance program.

Notes

• Current CSB and SJU students are not eligible to apply for Fine Arts Scholarships. 
• Students may apply for more than one Fine Arts Scholarship; however, if awarded more than one, they may accept only one of them. 
• There is no acting audition for the Theater + Dance Scholarship
