A key feature of a Bonner Program is providing access to education for those who may demonstrate financial need. To be considered for the Bonner Leader Program, a student and their family must submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to CSB+SJU. By clicking this box, I certify that I understand by not submitting the FAFSA will disqualify me from the selection process.

In prospective Bonner Leaders, we look for committed people who have shown dedication to activities of importance in their lives. Please list the service, family, school, church, athletic, or work responsibilities to which you have been most committed. Specify the activities, positions held, and length and frequency of commitments.

Many problems plague our world- what is one social, political, or economic issue that is important to you and why? What are you doing to tackle it? What more do you need to learn to better understand it? (300 words max)

How does service or civic engagement connect with your academic interests, your values, and your long-term goals? (300 words max)

Tell us about a meaningful service experience and what made you decide to engage in that service experience OR describe a time that you have been on the receiving end of a service experience and how did it impact your understanding of community? (300 words max)

What strengths and talents will you uniquely bring to the Bonner Leader Program community and to your community service activity? What do you hope to gain from participating in the program?

Applicants are allowed to submit any materials that they feel enhance their application for the Bonner Leader Program such as a Letter of Recommendation, a Resume, or Capstone Project they are passionate about. Additional materials are NOT require and applicants are not penalized for not submitting additional material.
